Hyaluronic acid is a humectant — it pulls water from the surrounding environment into the upper layers of the skin. In a humid room, that water comes from the air. In a dry environment, it can pull water from deeper skin layers and leave the surface feeling tighter, not softer.
- Apply on damp skin.
- Seal with a moisturiser within 60 seconds.
- Skip it in very dry climates unless you can occlude immediately after.
